Here’s my best attempt to archive my writing, which is quite a mixed bag of posts and pages from around the internet. I try to focus on outdoor active travel; but of course won’t say no to a client that offers to pay me if it’s something I feel that I can adequately represent.
I won’t say that it’s been an easy road to get to this point. It’s been difficult and stressful, but in reality I wouldn’t (or couldn’t for my sanity) have it any other way. Everyone has innate talents and somehow I found that I’ve got a good natural skill to write. Or at least people tell me so, and it’s people that I trust not to be blowing smoke up my ass.
The following are a few links to different sites I’ve contributed to. One thing that I’ve learned is that things change online often, and you can’t trust the site to be around forever. So I’ve often copied the content to this site in case it will go by the client’s wayside. It’s unfortunately already happened with several pieces so if you get the dreaded 404, do a search here and I’ve likely got it archived.
Happy reading!

The Local’s Guide to Kauai – I was contracted to write a travel blog for a tour boat company on Kauai’s Na Pali Coast after the owner read this article online in Pique Newsmagazine. It’s safe to say that it was a dream job and I felt very fortunate to be approached to create something so amazing as a travel guide to one of the most amazing places on earth that i’ve been to thus far.
Pique Newsmagazine – Weekly periodical out of Whistler, British Columbia.
Dublin Dog – This company specializes in Dog Products. I have been helping them get more traffic to their site by adding dog-related content that people will find useful and informative.
PacSafe – A travel gear company. Most of the articles here are focused on travel related pieces.
The Clymb – Online outdoor retailer with an impressive blog covering a wide range of topics.
GTFOutside – A project by Outdoor Nation. Humorous blog post designed to attract the younger generation. I used the pen name Joel Davis to give a bit more freedom in what I posted.
The Inertia – A community of surfing, mountain sports, and healthy living. Sounds good to me!
